Twenty-nine collected essays represent a critical history of Shakespeare's play as text and as theater, beginning with Samuel Johnson in 1765, and ending with a review of the Royal Shakespeare Company production in 1991. The criticism centers on three aspects of the play: the love/friendship debate.

The most important development in recent historical Jesus studies is the attempt to understand the ministry of Jesus in "political" terms. In calling the nation of Israel to repentance, Jesus served as a national prophet concerned with the salvation of Israel. Scot McKnight furthers this line of inquiry by showing how Jesus' teachings are to be understood in relation to his role as a political figure. McKnight looks closely at Jesus' teachings on God, the kingdom, and ethics, demonstrating in each case how Jesus' mission to restore Israel brings his teachings into a bold new light.

Focusing on the condition, contribution and plight of the black population, A New Vision aims to shed light on the journey taken by those forcibly removed from their homes in Africa. As well as documenting their struggle with the slave trade, this book explores various topics relating to the black community, including how they are represented, defined and perceived by society. This book also asks important unanswered questions such as: Why is there an over-representation of young black men who are failing in school, committing ‘black on black’ violence and struggling to maintain long-term relationships? In a world driven by determination to succeed, author Bola Ogunkoya addresses why rappers, footballers and athletes seem to be the only role models available to young black men in a world where many other public figures can be embraced and admired. Concentrating on both the UK and the US, A New Vision raises questions about why the US – a country concerned with the brutal legacy of slavery – has produced a black president, a black attorney general and four star black generals, while the UK, a less segregated country, has not. Stressing the need for greater attention to be given to encouraging the black community to excel within the field of education, A New Vision will appeal to those interested in social and cultural heritage, and particularly to those with a strong interest in black history.

The future security, economic growth, and competitiveness of the United States depend on its capacity to innovate. Major sources of innovative capacity are the new knowledge and trained students generated by U.S. research universities. However, many of the complex technical and societal problems the United States faces cannot be addressed by the traditional model of individual university research groups headed by a single principal investigator. Instead, they can only be solved if researchers from multiple institutions and with diverse expertise combine their efforts. The National Science Foundation (NSF), among other federal agencies, began to explore the potential of such center-scale research programs in the 1970s and 1980s; in many ways, the NSF Engineering Research Center (ERC) program is its flagship program in this regard. The ERCs are "interdisciplinary, multi-institutional centers that join academia, industry, and government in partnership to produce transformational engineered systems and engineering graduates who are adept at innovation and primed for leadership in the global economy. To ensure that the ERCs continue to be a source of innovation, economic development, and educational excellence, A New Vision for Center-Based Engineering Research explores the future of center-based engineering research, the skills needed for effective center leadership, and opportunities to enhance engineering education through the centers.

Amoris laetitia calls on the Church to minister in a different way to families. In this document, Pope Francis offers a new vision of pastoral care that insists that the Church has a mission to accompany, discern, and integrate families into the Body of Christ, no matter the challenges in their lives. In A New Vision of Family Life: A Reflection on Amoris laetitia, Fr. Louis J. Cameli helps pastoral staff understand how they can support families as they accompany them through difficulties, aid them in discerning their conscience, and integrate them into the parish community. The author shows that such support is vital if the Church is to form families as disciples. Fr. Cameli shows pastoral staff that they can help families see how God works in their lives, understand their experience in light of the Gospel, hear how God is calling them to conversion, and carry their conversion to a world in need. The book situates marriage and family life as a central focus for transformation in the Christian life. Questions at the end of each chapter help the reader reflect on how parishes can implement the vision in Amoris laetitia.

What is consciousness? A seemingly simple question which led the author on a twenty year quest for answers, through science, metaphysics and spirituality. This journey eventually resulted in contact with a Wandjina, an Aboriginal Australian Sky God, called Zenchi. Under his guidance the metaphysics of consciousness called Lifeforce Harmonics was created. This provided a framework for the rational understanding of the emerging new reality. It was the start of the unfolding of a vision of the future, the Great Transition, where mankind will enter a new Golden Age. This book is the culmination of that process and is split into two sections. The first starts with the Great Transition from the age of deception and control to the new dawning spirituality. The second section presents the original Metaphysics of Consciousness manuscript fully updated and revised for the new millennium.

Mexico is at a critical juncture. The next administration will assume power at a particularly crucial time in Mexico's economic and social development. Its priorities and actions will have a decisive impact on the country's long-term economic, social, and even, political trajectory. If the political paralysis that has prevented the last two administrations from tackling Mexico's fundamental economic problems continues for another six years, the country may slide from its current low-growth equilibrium into a vicious cycle of economic stagnation, and subsequently dash the peoples' hopes, further erode the government's credibility, and worsen the law and order situation. By contrast, if the new administration embraces a well-balanced reform agenda and adopts a package of bold initiatives early in its term, it could once again unleash Mexico's vast potential and build the foundations of a more prosperous, safer and dynamic society. A New Vision for Mexico 2042 identifies the priority issues that could influence Mexico's long-term economic trajectory, and outlines a balanced action program necessary to effectively address these issues. It includes reforms and actions that would simultaneously achieve much higher and more inclusive growth, and thus would restore the sense of pride and optimism among Mexicans that has been eroding in recent years. The issues discussed are ofsuch importance that the legacy of the next Presidency could well be determined by the administration's willingness and ability to implement the agenda outlined in this book.
